Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January, 2024

The following Privacy Policy governs the online information collection practices of Snapshot Depot (“we” or “us”). Specifically, it outlines the types of information that we gather about you while you are using our website or software programs (the “Site”), and the ways in which we use this information. This Privacy Policy, including our children’s privacy statement, does not apply to any information you may provide to us or that we may collect offline and/or through other means (for example, at a live event, via telephone, or through the mail).

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By visiting and using the Site, you agree that your use of our Site, and any dispute over privacy, is governed by this Privacy Policy. Because the Web is an evolving medium, we may need to change our Privacy Policy at some point in the future. In such a case, we will post the changes on this website and update the Effective Date to reflect the date of the changes. By continuing to use the Site after any such changes are posted, you accept the Privacy Policy as modified.

How We Collect and Use Information

We may collect and store personal or other information that you voluntarily provide to us online while using the Site (e.g., while on the Site or in response to an email or feature offered on the Site). The Site only contacts individuals who specifically request it or if they have signed up to receive our messages, attended one of our events, or purchased one of our products. The Site collects personally identifiable information from users during online registration and purchasing processes. This information typically includes name and email address for registration or opt-in purposes, as well as name, postal address, and credit card information when registering for events or purchasing products. All this information is provided by you.

We also collect and store information automatically generated as you navigate the Site. For example, we may gather details about your computer’s connection to the internet, which helps us improve page delivery and measure Site traffic. We may also use a standard browser feature called a “cookie” to enhance your experience. Cookies are small files placed on your hard drive for record-keeping purposes. By showing how and when visitors use the Site, cookies help us deliver advertisements, track user trends, and prevent the need to re-enter preferences on certain areas of the Site. Additionally, the Site may use web beacons (single-pixel graphic files, also known as “transparent GIFs”) to access cookies and count users visiting the Site or opening HTML-formatted emails.

We use the information collected from you while using the Site in several ways, including customizing features, delivering advertisements, and making offers available via email, direct mail, or otherwise. We may also share your information with third parties, such as service providers, contractors, or advertisers for various purposes. Unless you inform us otherwise, we reserve the right to use, and share with third parties, the information collected from and about you while using the Site. If you do not want your information used for these purposes, you must send a letter to the Online Privacy Coordinator at the address provided at the end of this Privacy Policy, requesting removal from any lists used for such purposes or that may be shared with third parties.

Please remember that when you voluntarily make personal information available to third parties online—such as on message boards, blogs, email, or chat areas—that information can be seen, collected, and used by others besides us. We cannot be responsible for any unauthorized third-party use of such information.

Some third-party advertisers and ad servers that present advertising on the Site may also collect information via cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies. These third parties may use the information to present advertisements, measure effectiveness, or for other purposes. The use and collection of your information by these third-party advertisers are governed by their privacy policies and not by ours. If you have concerns about how a third party uses cookies or your information, you should review their privacy policy on their website.

The Site includes links to other websites and access to products and services offered by third parties. Their privacy policies are not under our control. When you access another website or purchase products or services through the Site, the use of your information is governed by the privacy policy of the site you visit or the provider of such products or services.

We may occasionally release information about our visitors when required by law or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Site users or the public.

Please note that as our business grows, we may buy or sell assets. In the unlikely event we sell some or all of our assets, or one of our websites is acquired by another company, information about our users may be part of the transferred assets.

Google Analytics:

We also use Google Analytics Advertiser Features to optimize our business. Advertiser features include:

  • Remarketing with Google Analytics

  • Google Display Network Impression Reporting

  • DoubleClick Platform integrations

  • Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting

By enabling these Google Analytics Display features, we are required to notify our visitors that Snapshot Depot and third-party vendors use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) or other first-party identifiers, and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) or other third-party identifiers together to gather data about your activities on our Site. Among other uses, this data allows us to contact you if you begin to fill out our checkout form but abandon it before completion, sending an email reminder to finish your order. The “Remarketing” feature allows us to reach individuals who have previously visited our Site and display relevant advertising.

Under New York law, we are committed to ensuring that your personal data is handled in accordance with applicable state and federal privacy regulations. In compliance with New York’s data protection laws, we ensure that any collection, use, or sharing of personal information complies with local standards, including appropriate notifications and opt-out options as required.

You can opt out of Google’s use of cookies by visiting Google’s ad settings, and you can opt out of third-party vendors’ use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative’s opt-out page.

In line with New York's requirements, we also ensure that any personal information gathered from users is protected and that any breach of data will be addressed as per the state's data breach notification laws. If a security breach results in unauthorized access to your personal data, you will be notified in a timely manner, as mandated by New York’s Information Security Breach and Notification Act.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The GDPR took effect on May 25, 2018, and is intended to protect the data of European Union (EU) citizens. As a company that markets its site, content, products, and/or services online, Snapshot Depot does not specifically target its marketing to the EU or conduct business in or to the EU in any significant way. However, if the data you provide to us during your use of our site, content, products, and/or services is governed by GDPR, we will comply with the applicable portions of the Regulation.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or accessing this site from within the EEA, you may have certain rights under GDPR, including the right to request:

  • Access to your personal data

  • Correction of inaccurate data

  • Deletion of your data ("the right to be forgotten")

  • Portability of your data

  • Restriction or objection to the processing of your personal data

To make any of these requests, please contact our GDPR representative at [email protected].

Rights of New York Consumers

While New York does not have a comprehensive privacy law like the CCPA or GDPR, New York consumers are protected by various privacy-related laws, including the New York Stop Hacks and Improve Electronic Data Security (SHIELD) Act. This law sets standards for the safeguarding of personal data and requires businesses that collect private information from New York residents to implement reasonable data security measures to protect it.

At Snapshot Depot, we are committed to safeguarding the personal information of our New York users. If you are a resident of New York, you may have rights under the SHIELD Act and other applicable state laws, which include:

  • The right to know what personal information is being collected about you.

  • The right to access the personal information we have collected about you.

  • The right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.

  • The right to be informed if your personal data has been exposed in a data breach and to receive timely notification.

If a security breach occurs involving your personal data, we will notify you as required by the New York Information Security Breach and Notification Act.

To exercise any of these rights, or if you have any questions about how we handle your personal information, please contact our privacy contact at [email protected].

Children’s Privacy Statement

This children’s privacy statement outlines our practices concerning the online collection and use of personal information from children under the age of thirteen, and provides important information regarding their rights under federal law.

Snapshot Depot does not direct its Site to children under the age of thirteen and does NOT knowingly collect personally identifiable information from them. We take measures to screen users who attempt to provide personal information to prevent children under thirteen from submitting such details. If we discover that we have inadvertently gathered personally identifiable information from a child under the age of thirteen, we will delete that information promptly. Should our practices change in the future, we will first obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting any personally identifiable information from children under thirteen.

As we do not collect any such information from children under thirteen, we do NOT knowingly distribute this data to third parties.

Additionally, we do NOT allow children under thirteen to publicly post or distribute personally identifiable contact information through our Site.

Lastly, because we do not collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen, we do NOT condition a child’s participation in the Site’s online activities on providing personal information.
